Termite mounds are not just for termites! These mounds - sometimes very large - form around dead trees as the termites consume and recycle the wood into soil. Imagine how tall such a mound might be for the tree in the picture -  this enormous Baobab tree dwarfs a full grown elephant. But elephants are also part of the story. The Baobab contains large amounts of water and in dry months elephants strip away some of its bark to reach the moist inside.  CONTINUED
